This was our first year of blogging, but we've really enjoyed it.  

We got a nice surprise today when we learned that our blog has been nominated and accepted as a contender for an Edublog Award in the Best Class Blog category!  These awards are held every year to recognise great educational blogs.

Congratulations to all the Year 2 girls. You're performance in the Christmas Concert was outstanding.

We had the time of our lives trying to make the tiny ghosts float in Year 2, using magnets, thread, tissue paper, tape and paper clips.

The magnetic force helped the ghosts float above our desks. We had to take our time and have a steady hand to make the levitating ghost stay in the air.

Wow! It’s hard to believe another school is coming to an end. We have had such a fantastic time with our 2011 Year 2 girls. It feels like only yesterday they were bouncing through the door ready to start another school year as the Super Seniors of Evandale. Now they are all grown up and ready to move over to Hamilton. It won't be the same next year without our Year 2 girls here at Evandale.

A huge thank you to the girls for absolutely spoiling us this morning with the most beautiful cards and gifts. Mrs O’Doherty, Miss Avery and Mrs Case were overwhelmed by the number of parents who turned up to the presentation. The parents and girls had such wonderful words to say. We are so thankful for the support and kindess our parents have shown us this year.

We sadly have four lovely girls leaving us at the end of this year. Isobel, Gabby, Isabelle and Jade will be missed by all of us. We wish them all the best for the future and hope they keep in touch.

Thank you for such a wonderful year and supporting us on our blog. We wish everyone a safe and happy holiday and a fabulous 2012.
